SPRING GREEN BLVD.

The first roundabout in Fort Bend County, Spring Green Boulevard Roundabout was a project to create a more efficient traffic control plan for this major four-way intersection. The purpose of a roundabout is to keep traffic flowing around an intersection, to remove the need for a signal system or a four-way stop sign intersection that can cause a significant amount of congestion. A roundabout includes streets from different directions intersecting together to flow into the desired direction. This roundabout connected Spring Green Blvd at an intersection of Cinco Trace Rd and Katy-Flewellen Rd, as well as the first segment of Crossover Rd. The project consisted of 4,290 Linear Feet of storm sewer drainage, a 6,200 Cubic Yard storm sewer channel, and 21,200 Square Yards of pavement.
